Visitation FAQ:

What time does visitation start?

You must arrive 7:15pm to check in and show your photo id and have the patient code. Visitation starts at 7:30pm and ends at 8:30pm.

Can I bring my family member belongings?

It is discouraged to bring belongings during visitation hours, but if needed you can bring them. The belongings will be transferred to a paper bag, it will have the patients code as well the unit number on it and the belongings will then be taken to the patients’ unit. Once it gets to the patients’ unit, a staff member will go through the belongings. Once evaluated the belongings will be given to the patient.

Can I bring food or drinks for my family member?

To ensure the health and safety of our patients we do not allow outside food or drinks.

How many visitors can visit in one day/night?

Patients are permitted 2 visitors per visit per day/night. However, we do our best to accommodate visitors if more come during visiting hours.

Belongings FAQ:

I would like to bring belongings for my family member, what am I allow to bring?

Your family member can have 3 complete set of outfits. They cannot have strings attached to any belonging. Steel toed boots and heavy boots are not permitted as well. Mount Carmel Behavioral Health provides scrubs and all toiletry items that the patient might need in case you cannot bring anything from home.

When is the best time to bring belongings for my family member?

Anytime throughout the day is recommended to bring the belongings. It is discouraged to bring them during visitation.
